Community Outreach is a central part of our purpose at Uniting Place. All members of our community are invited to access these services; we welcome people of all faith and cultural backgrounds.

We follow government guidelines for COVID safe practices.

Outreach Services

Open Up Meal

Open during the school term, come along and meet new people for a free 2 course lunch. For more information about the Community Pantry and Lunch please call the church office on (03) 9799 7994

Community Pantry

Our food pantry is open 10am- 11.45am Thursdays during school term to obtain free grocery items to support individuals and families in need. Please note that item limits per household apply.

 Support

Our community education workers are currently available Tuesday- Thursday to assist with referrals to access support through the more difficult times in life. They can be contacted via the church office on:

Education

A beginners computer class runs each Wednesday 9.30-11am. This is run in partnership with Hampton Park Community House. Please contact our office to see if places are currently available.

Basic English language classes run on Thursdays 10-11.30am. These will recommence in August 2023. Please call the office to register your interest.

Children's Support

Our Children and Families Worker, Niki, facilitates a playgroup program (Fridays 10-12, during school term), We run a Sunday faith-based program and school holiday workshops as well as providing support to families and linking with other service providers in the community.

Peace Choir

Our Peace Choir is free to join and inclusive of all ages, abilities, faiths and cultures. This Play it Forward project is supported by the City of Casey and led by award winning conductor Patrick Burns in a safe and supportive environment. 

Kindship Carers'

Our Kindship Carers' group is currently meeting twice a school term on the weekend with a private booking at a play centre. The aim is to provide peer support to parents/carers of a child with a disability. We provide conversation, share stories and resources and facilitate mutual support.  Contact Niki on 0472 987 254 for more information.

Art Exhibitions

Our annual Uniting Place art exhibition provides a space to showcase and celebrate creativity in our community. This year we will have a caricature artist available for portrait drawing.

Our 2024 Art Show will be on Saturday 16th March 10am - 4pm with the opening night Friday 6-8pm. Artist applications are open until Friday 3rd March. Click here to download an application. 

Volunteer with us!

We are always looking for more volunteers to help us deliver services to the community. Our volunteer co-ordinator works to match volunteers' skill set and interests with areas of need in our programs.
